Are my prayers being heard? The contrast between the hearts desire and wishes clash with daily reality many times I have to wonder. Amidst the gray clouds of desolation that surround the heart and soul I find some consolation:

“The prayer of the lowly pierces the clouds; it does not rest till it reaches its goal, nor will it withdraw till the most high responds, judged justly and affirms the right, and the Lord will not delay” (Sirach 35:12-14, 16-18).

The act of hope comes in believing that He will not delay and answer according to His will. Lord, do not delay. Fill the heart with consolation.
