What Will You Ask For?

“Ask something of Me and I will give it to you” (1 Kgs 3:5).

This question God posed to Solomon. It is a question the Lord asks of us every day when we spend time with Him in prayer.

Solomon’s answer pleased the Lord, “Give thy servant an understanding heart to judge your people and to distinguish right from wrong’ (1 Kgs 3:9).

May our prayer be the same, for understanding and wisdom, to distinguish right from wrong and side for righteousness aligned to the Will of God. For we are told “For he who finds wisdom finds life and obtains favor from the Lord” (Pvbs 8:36).
